I took the time to report an ER doctor once - she misdiagosed an ovarian cyst - and let me go home... it ruptured and went away, but it could have just as easily gone bad and killed me. There is no excuse for bad medical care - I can understand small minior oversights or mistakes, but not big mistakes that THEY need to take responsibility for.
